The National Mosque of Malaysia, located in Kuala Lumpur, was build in 1965 on the site of a church, the Venning Road Brethren Gospel Hall. The once pink main concrete roof was cladded in green and blue tiles when it underwent major renovations in 1987. The roof is reminiscent of an open minaret's folded umbrella.
