My name is Jan Venter and A Traveller's View is a website to showcase my photography.

I was born and raised in South Africa and educated in Architectural Technology. In 2003 I moved to London to pursue a career in photography. In 2004 I started working as a professional photographer, specialising in Architecture and Interior Photography. Living in London started to fuel my passion for travel. Being from South Africa, I have travelled to a few countries Southern Africa, but this was before he was introduced to travel photography

Early 2012 I decided to give up the security of full time employment in exchange for freelance photography and travel. I prefer to travel slow, so there is only a handful of countries I've been to in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Late 2012 I was introduced to scuba diving, fell in love with it and quickly advanced to became a Divemaster, and in September 2015, became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Now I am a Freelance Master Scuba Diver Instructor and Underwater Photographer. I have also done some video work, including underwater videos, which can be viewed on his Youtube page.

For any potential employers in the scuba industry, my C.V. can be downloaded here.
